Stefan McNamara Updated by Stefan McNamara

We are pleased to announce the latest release of Time and Attendance: Version 8.51.0.0 released 26th May 2026

Below you will find details of the changes included in this release.

Microsoft Exchange Online emails for T&A.

What have we done?

We have made changes to allow customers to use the Microsoft Exchange Online service for sending T&A emails.

Why have we done this?

Microsoft are planning to deprecate the basic authentication for client SMTP. As such, it is recommended that customers who currently use Microsoft Outlook as their smtp service should switch from using the basic authentication method to using Microsoft Exchange Online.

Further information regarding the deprecation of basic authentication by Microsoft can be found here.

How will you benefit?

Confidence that T&A email flows remain to functional after Microsoft deprecate the support of basic authentication, once Microsoft Exchange Online has been adopted.

Details of the change.

Administrators will need to configure T&A to send emails through Microsoft Exchange Online.

To reconfigure T&A, access the T&A Windows application; then go to System > Maintain system preferences > Email.

Select EXCH -- Exchange Online as the Email component.

The Connection tab contains fields that need to be populated with values from your Azure environment.

For more information on setting up Microsoft Exchange Online, documentation can be found here.

Identity Access for Master Accounts.

What have we done?

Following the adoption of Identity by our customers, we have implemented a change to facilitate access for our internal Support and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to certain system configurations. These configurations are exclusively accessible via the MASTER Account, and the update enables our internal teams to utilise this account as required.

Why have we done this?

We are implementing a streamlined procedure for customers to create user accounts for our internal teams. This will enable customers to efficiently grant MASTER access privileges to our Support and PS colleagues via their user profiles, thereby facilitating effective collaboration and support delivery.

How will you benefit?

This will remove the need lo login as the MASTER user to complete configuration tasks, as the MASTER privileges can be assigned to the users profile via the appropriate setting

Details of the change.

We have introduced an 'Allow MASTER overrides' flag against the Profile to allow functionality normally restricted to a MASTER user to be accessible by that Profile:
