SFTP - Connect with WinSCP

WinSCP is a free Windows-only SFTP client available here.

Once installed:

Open WinSCP and create a new session

Launch WinSCP. In the Login dialog, set File protocol to SFTP.

Configure SSH key

Click Advanced → SSH → Authentication. Under Private key file, browse to your id_rsa file (usually found under the following path: c:\Users\YourName\.ssh\id_rsa). WinSCP may prompt to convert it to PPK format — click OK to convert.

Save and connect

Click Save, then Login. Accept the host key if prompted.
