What is the Data Share?

Data Share from OneAdvanced is a powerful data sharing solution designed to unify and simplify your data landscape across our products. Built on a secure by-design platform, which connects to OneAdvanced product databases to ingest data and unlock easy access via Snowflake, our customers can use their data to make data-driven decisions with confidence.

How does it benefit you?

  • The great advantage of a data share on Snowflake is that it provides customers out of the box ways to plug into their data quickly and easily, using an extensive network of connectors, drivers, programming languages, and utilities.
  • The data share content is customer driven and is therefore focused on the core areas of the system, providing customers with a clear picture of the data that will bring value to their reporting, analytics and operational needs.
  • By streamlining access, governance and analytics, Data Share enables your teams to make faster, data-driven decisions, mitigate compliance risks, and drive operational efficiencies with confidence.

Overview

OneAdvanced Time and Attendance data is stored securely in Microsoft Azure SQL Server. Due to Azure's security model, direct access to the data is not permitted. To address this, we've developed a method to ingest the data into the Snowflake platform. Snowflake regularly extracts data from the Azure T&A database and makes it available for querying using common Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI.

The data in the Snowflake data lake is stored securely and robustly. You can learn more about Snowflake's commitment to security here
