Reporting

Auto Rostering can produce a variety of reports that can be used to analyse the data it has or keep records. You can access the Reporting page form the left-hand navigation pane:

Running Reports

Auto Rostering has several reports that can be used. Use the Report Type drop-down menu to choose one that you need to run. Once you have selected one, you will need to provide several parameters for the Report.

Selection Criteria

First, you will need to select a Schedule using the drop-down menu. You can also tick the Select All checkbox to run the report for all Schedules that you have access to.

Note: If you have access to many Schedules, you may want to think about how useful the report will be if you Select All.

Select Period allows you to use a date picker to choose which date range you want the Report to cover. You can choose from a specific day week or month or create a custom range by selecting the Custom Period radio button and filling out the date boxes.

You can select the employees that will be included within the Report in the Select Organisational Group/Employee(s) section. Use the Add Organisational Group to add a specific group of employees or use the Select Specific Employees drop-down menu to add a custom number of employees.

Each Report also comes with its own categories for Report Grouping. Using the table, you can choose several factors to group results on a report – for example, you could decide to group results by date + schedule subgroup, or just date, or any number of combinations. Try to experiment with these groupings for the report you are running to find a result that works for you. You can drag and drop grouping options between the Group By and Available to Group By columns to change the results – you can also choose an order of priority for grouping options by placing them higher up the list to prioritise them over others.

Each Report also has their own set of Additional Options that you can choose from. These cover things like the format for time (HH:MM or Decimal).
