Group messages

The Group messages page is only available to Supervisors with Messaging service (Web only) enabled in their T&A User profile.

The Group messages page allows a Supervisor to view a list of sent messages received by Employees they have access to along with their responses. Also, the page contains messages the current User has sent to Employees.

To display a list of sent or complete messages, select Group messages from the Group menu in the drop-down Header pane. It can also be accessed from the Menu and Shortcuts widgets which may be displayed on your Supervisor dashboard. A page similar to the following will open:

The list contains one message per row, with information about the sent date, who sent it, the status of the message, what tags have been attached to the message, the main text of the message, the available responses to choose from, who it is sent to, the bearer type of how the message will be sent (SMS or email) and the expiry date/time of when Employees will no longer be able to respond to the message.

Clicking on the information in the Sent or Message column will open a new page called Message responses that contains further information about the message and a recipient list.

When a message row is highlighted yellow, it means the message Status is 'Sent' and is still waiting for a response from the recipient(s). A message will be highlighted green with the Status marked as 'Complete' when all recipients have responded or when the message has passed the expiry date or when a Supervisor marks it as complete. Once a message is marked as complete, it can no longer be responded to. A message can be marked as complete by selecting the relevant message check-boxes and selecting Mark selected messages as complete from the left-hand pane or by clicking  Mark as complete  in the Message responses page of the message.

Note: any messages that have failed to send or have yet to be processed will not appear on this page. Instead, they will appear on the Messages received page for a Supervisor to take appropriate action.
