8.48 upgrade for P60 and Payroll End End - what you need to know

For customers requiring the year end payroll P60 upgrades, the T&A and HR Manager upgrade to 8.48 is only required if you use all the following:

  • OneAdvanced Payroll
  • OneAdvanced T&A or HR Manager
  • Upload P60s into your T&A system
  • Use XML P60s
The T&A and HR Manager release 8.48 must be applied in conjunction with Payroll version 2.64 to support the addition of SNCP to XML P60’s

As this upgrade enables the visibility of the new P60 field, the upgrade can be performed before or after uploading P60’s. However, we advise upgrading T&A and HR Manager prior to uploading P60’s into T&A.

Hosted customers

Your 2025/2026 P60 templates will be automatically updated by OneAdvanced.

On-prem customers

Please continue with this document to upgrade your T&A and HR Manager system.

Identifying your current T&A version

You can identify the version of T&A or HR Manager by launching the Windows application (WinTMS.exe or Person.exe), logging in, then going to the Help menu->About.

Custom P60 templates

Customers using custom P60 templates will need to manually update their P60 template.

If you use custom branding (company logo, company colours, etc.) on your payslips or P60s, you are likely using custom P60 templates.

To identify if you are using custom P60 templates, please ask your local IT to run through steps 1-7 of the “On-prem customers with custom P60 templates” upgrade path.

Upgrading T&A (TMS) and HR Manager 

After identifying the version of T&A or HR Manager you are running, please see the upgrade notes below for your specific version.

Attention: Please choose the correct upgrade based on your major version as noted below. Upgrading to a different major version will corrupt your system. If you upgrade to a different major version, then your local IT will need to roll the server back to a point prior to the upgrade and apply the correct upgrade. Any assistance with a rollback will require Professional Services time which may incur charges. 
Hosted customers: OneAdvanced will update the P60 template for hosted customers. No further action is required.

Version 8 without custom P60 templates

Please forward these details to your local IT team to perform the upgrade.

This is a General release. General releases do not require an updated licence; please skip step 6 of the upgrade instructions.

Links to the updated software will be emailed out to on-prem customers. If you are on-prem and have not received the links, please contact Support.

Version 7 without custom P60 templates

Please forward these details to your local IT team to perform the upgrade.

Please follow the steps below to access these files and update your T&A system.

  1. On the T&A web server
  2. Launch Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
  3. Expand out the server node, Sites node, Default Web Site node (please note your setup may not exactly match this)
  4. Right click the TMS node
  5. Click Explore
  6. Navigate to the Templates/Payslips folder
  7. Download the updated files from here.
  8. Back up the existing files by copying them
  9. Replace the existing files with the updated ones from within the zip file
  10. If you have more than one T&A website set up, please repeat the steps above for each website

On-prem customers with custom P60 templates

Please forward these details to your local IT team to perform the upgrade.

An upgrade is not required for customers with custom P60 templates but you will need to update existing HTML files. If you would like to upgrade, please see the applicable upgrade above.

Before performing this update, please ensure you are confident with your ability to edit HTML files. If you have any concerns, please contact Support for assistance.

Please follow these steps to update the files.

  1. On the T&A web server launch Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
  2. Expand out the server node, Sites node, Default Web Site node (please note your setup may not exactly match this)
  3. Right click the TMS node
  4. Click Explore
  5. The custom template file names start with “P60”. The files that require updating are the P60.html files
If there are no files starting with “P60” in the website root folder then you are not using custom P60 templates. Please identify the correct upgrade path above and follow the steps outlined.
  1. Back up the existing P60 files by copying them
  2. Download the old standard templates from here.
  3. Download the new standard templates from here.
  4. Download WinMerge and use it to identify the changes
  5. Update your custom templates with the required changes
